Sienna can seat 7 passengers, or 8 via a detachable 2nd-row jumpseat that can be stored in the cargo area when not in use. The 2nd-row captain's chairs can slide fore and aft to benefit passenger or cargo room.

All new for 2011, the Toyota Sienna is very close in size to the second-generation Sienna, but it looks sleeker and more modern than before. It is still a two-box design, with one box housing the passenger compartment and the other housing the engine in the front.

In fact, the four-cylinder engine is actually a bit too eager, because a slight push on the accelerator brings on a lot of power. It's a trick automakers use to make their vehicles feel quicker than they are, but in the Sienna, it's difficult to accelerate from a stop without jerking your passenger's necks.

In a class that’s become extremely competitive, most reviewers say the 2012 Toyota Sienna is your best bet. Redesigned just last year, the Sienna has a comfortable interior with lots of cargo space and innovative features, like a split-screen DVD player and second row lounge chairs, that families should love.

This is the third generation Sienna and it has really evolved since it was introduced back in 1998. Still the only vehicle in its class to make AWD available, the 2011 Sienna offers more space, innovative ideas and is sporting a cool, new look.

Passenger comfort and driving dynamics also generated positive comments. The soft bucket seats and friendly, albeit light steering are some examples.

Interior space isn’t as voluminous as in the new Honda Odyssey and Nissan Quest, but each occupant benefits from plenty of room nonetheless. With all seats in place, folded or removed, the Sienna boasts class-leading cargo space.

Inside, Toyota engineers expanded interior room, but the distance between the front and rear tires remains unchanged from the previous-generation van. Roominess continues to be the Toyota Sienna's forte, making it easy to configure the cabin to hold seven and eight seats, cargo space, or both.

The new-for-2011 Sienna minivan offers an improved exterior design, better driving dynamics, a more accommodating interior and features that take it up several notches in the hotly competitive minivan category. With the redesign, it has certainly moved up on our list of desirable minivans.

The 2012 Toyota Sienna minivan is a pretty big people-mover filled with cool and innovative features. Actually, there is nothing 'mini' about this minivan, having grown last year in size and complexity to better take on longtime rival, the Honda Odyssey.

The Sienna gets smart updates to its drivetrains and its interior package for 2011, but not to its seating configurations, which still lag the class-leading Dodge Grand Caravan and Nissan Quest in flexibility.

One of the Big Four among minivans, the Toyota Sienna was revamped last year to give families more choice in drivetrains and in features. The Sienna's now the most diverse minivan, in terms of power and features, but it's not quite the most flexible big box in the parking lot.
